
Ben J. Cassarino, Esq. is the President and General Counsel of Catellus Group. He is responsible for oversight and compliance in all areas of company including but not limited to, operations, acquisitions, due diligence, construction, management, permitting, approvals, development, dispositions and strategy.
Prior to joining Catellus Group, Mr. Cassarino was the Vice President of Conservation by Design, a South Carolina real estate development company where he was responsible for not only all aspects of real estate development including site selection, contracting, due diligence, design, permitting, approvals and disposition, but representing national and regional home builders in the York County, SC area. Most notably, he obtained site plan approval on an ocean front residential development with federal wetlands and endangered species on site.
His past work experience also includes private practice with an emphasis on real estate and taxation and general practice with concentrations in: commercial and residential real estate, commercial transactions, real property tax litigation, commercial and industrial financing. He was also counsel to County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency, general and corporate law with Davidson, Fink Cook & Gates. While there, he successfully closed on $178 million Monroe County General Obligation Bond issue as Underwriter’s Counsel.
In addition, Mr. Cassarino was a Judicial Law Clerk for the New York State Supreme Court. He attended State University of New York at Albany and Western New England College, School of Law.
